Lookbook love #4

Around the "blogisphere" loads of girls want to know how to style the colored denim trend. Good news, it's not hard. You don't have to wear them with a plain white shirt. The new mix n' match trend allows us to wear different colors, patterns, fabrics, etc all in one outfit!. So I put together a set from the Truly Yours summer lookbook that incorporates all of these things. First things first: what to pair with our Tractr Jeans in Tropical Punch? Our green and striped Beach Club Tank Top looks great without clashing. You can also get away with a lightweight scarf in place of a necklace, even in the summertime. I chose a pretty floral print. Hint: when mixing patterns (like stripes and florals) make sure they are a similar color palette. This crochet shoulder hobo bag is also a huge trend. Basically you can get away with anything crochet these days: dresses, bags, shorts, tops, anything! Just make sure, if you are choosing to wear it as a dress or top, to stay covered with something like a cute bandeau. Our Starship Earrings match perfectly with the jeans (so the outfit doesn't turn into a mess!) And then a neutral flat in a sophisticated suede fabric completes the look.

It seems as if these bright coral colors are taking over this summer! And you know we stock up on whatever's trending right here at Truly Yours. Our on trend Changes in Latitude Tank Top is cool in this too-hot weather paired with our Tractr Jeans, now on sale for $50. This ensemble matches great with our Don't Get it Twisted Belt  (also available in pink) and gives it more life compared to a boring brown belt. Add some gold accessories like our new matching set of Walk Like an Egyptian Necklace and Walk Like an Egyptian Earrings. Wearing a watch with every outfit isn't just practical anymore, it's a must for every fashionista. Try a new take on it with a watch that doubles as a bracelet. Also a super huge trend (and something I will be posting about soon!) is anything and everything animal print. Zebra, giraffe, leopard, and cheetah prints are the new neutrals, which makes them so enticing. They go with everything! So add an edgy zebra print flat and maybe a nautical tote if you're on the beach, like our model in the summer lookbook photo.

It's the second day of our Lookbook Love series and we're giving you two looks to covet. The first in the top lefthand corner is a fun and girly alternative to a dress. Rompers are a big trend this summer and the Take the Cake Romper is no exception. When the whole shirt and a top thing gets boring, this is your go-to. Pair it with our flashy Hollywood Sign Earrings and a colorblock shoe. Or go barefoot on the beach like our models! The second look is worn by Truly Yours founder, Erin. The Tractr Jeans are one of her favorite items because they go with everything. She's also wearing our Walking on Sunshine Top with the hot pink Braidy Bunch Necklace. Your shoes and other accessories should be kept simple to let the necklace speak for itself.

Oh So Chic Photography

Tell us a little about yourself.

I'm 22 years old from Richmond, Virginia and I recently graduated from ECU with a B.A. in photography.

Why did you choose photography?

I fell in love with photography in high school when I took my first class where we had to develop our own film. I especially love fashion photography. I love clothes and shopping.

How is it shooting for Truly Yours?

I have so much fun doing the lookbooks for Truly Yours. The clothes are so cute!

Yay, we love having you! What exactly does Oh So Chic offer?

As of now I do pretty much any type of photography-fashion, commercial, senior portraits, family, children, etc. But fashion is what I'm most passionate about.

What do you see for yourself in the future?

I hope to one day work for a fashion magazine or company and live in Charleston, SC.
